About Blue Wave Foundation

Blue Wave Foundation is a Martial Arts program that practices traditional Korean style Tae Kwon Do. We are affiliated with the Chung Do Association.

Our classes are for anyone ages 5 to 105! We focus on fundamentals and hard work, bringing alive the indomitable spirit of the original martial arts masters. We strive for a strong mind-body-spirit connection.

Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do was founded in Korea in 1944 by Won Kuk Lee. His student, Grand Master Yong Taek Chung brought this style to the states in 1974. Master Chung passed his knowledge on to now 6th Degree Black belt, Master David Blevins. Miss Kennedy trains regularly in Master Blevins classes today.

About the Instructor

Miss Kennedy is the head instructor at Blue Wave Foundation. She is a second degree (E Dan) Black Belt in Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do, and has been training in this style for 13 years.

Miss Kennedy has been teaching both Tae Kwon Do & Self Defense for about 8 years to people of all ages.

In addition, she has enjoyed leading preschool martial arts programs, as well as Boot Camp and Cardio Kickboxing fitness classes.

Prior to finding a home in the Chung Do Kwan with her teacher Master Blevins, she has always had a passion for Tae Kwon Do. She first started training around the age of 5 years old, and has tried many different Tae Kwon Do styles through the years with her family.

Today, she continues to train under her teacher, with peers, and with her family on a regular basis. She loves to share her passion for training with others through teaching.

She firmly believes that the more you move your body, the better you feel, and that so long as you keep striving you will never stop improving. The journey of a martial artist is life long.
